Ad-friend-ture is an AI-driven narrative adventure game. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and your rights as a player.

Section 2Information We Collect

We collect a limited amount of information to run the app. Here is what we collect and why:

Account information. Creating an account is required to play. When you sign up, we collect your email address, a display name, and a password. Your email and display name are stored via Firebase Authentication. We never see your raw password — it is hashed by Firebase before storage.

Content you create. When you play Ad-friend-ture, the AI generates narrative content and you may create a character — including a name, backstory, and optionally an AI-generated portrait image. Portrait images are uploaded to our servers so they can be displayed consistently across sessions and on other players' screens during multiplayer games.

Gameplay data. Your campaign history, character stats, inventory, and choices are stored on our servers to support real-time party play and allow you to resume campaigns across devices.

Technical data. Like most apps, we receive basic technical information when you use the app — such as your device type, operating system version, and general error logs. We use this solely to keep the app working correctly.

Section 3How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and manage your account

• To store your character portraits and sync multiplayer sessions
• To diagnose technical problems and improve app stability
• To comply with our legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it to third parties, and we do not use it to build profiles for marketing purposes.

Section 4Third-Party Services

Ad-friend-ture connects to the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy policy.

When your in-game text and choices are sent to Anthropic or OpenAI to generate content, those providers process that data under their own terms. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies if you have concerns about how AI providers handle input data.

Section 5Data Storage and Security

Your account credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication. Campaign data and portrait images are stored on Firebase servers. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 6Data Retention

We retain your account and campaign data for as long as your account is active. If you would like us to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us using the details below and we will do so within 30 days.

Section 7Children's Privacy

Ad-friend-ture is rated 13+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

Section 8Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data — including the right to access, correct, or delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. We honor all such requests.

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when we add new features or third-party integrations. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you through the app or via email.
